Moderata samlingspartiet received 40.50% (420 votes).

Regional elections were called county council elections until 2018. Before 1998 Skåne was two county councils (Kristianstad and Malmöhus counties) and Västra Götaland three (Göteborg och Bohus, Älvsborg and Skaraborg counties). Malmö and Gothenburg were outside the county councils and held no county council election. Habo and Mullsjö belonged to Skaraborg. Gotland had no county council and Heby belonged to Västmanland. Before 2006 the sources do not report local parties (such as health care parties) separately. They are included in Other parties, with votes and seats per county council. Sweden Democrat votes are included in other parties. The party won no county council seats. New Democracy votes are separated from other parties. Seats for other parties cannot be separated and are included in other parties.
